Tractors!

Yet another hobby has joined the work on house and yard: living in the country you cannot evade the fascination of tractors! At least not if you have a neighbour collecting the finest oldtimers in his barn. First I contented myself with fotografing - that's easier than piling up real ones. This collection has now more than 150 items (cf. bottom of page). As an example here is a Lanz Bulldog of 1940 from neighbour Hans:

The enthusiasm quickly spread: Okko bought a Danish tractor and took it here. Ready to go and complete a Ferguson FE 35 of 1956 is waiting for us to deal with it:

[Ferguson Fe 35]

It has a petrol engine and runs about 15 mph. We already put on new front tires and winking lights are waiting (there's no licence plate without), but new colour has not been decided yet: red & grey is not original colour but has been used for later models, correct would be grey & golden - it is in fact a so called "Golden Belly". Besides that this model unfortunately has no trailer coupling, this shall be supplemented.

An overview of model designations and serial numbers of some Ferguson models is on next page.

And since you should always have a dream: perhaps one day this one will be accompanied by - say - a John Deere, model B, like this:

[John Deere model B]

... and a John Deere it should be, since we do have one of the family who's closely connected to Deere... Hi, David! ;-)

More pictures of oldtimer tractors from my collection are shown in the following gallery. These photos have been taken mostly at local oldtimer tractor conventions.
